Mountain biking & cycling

A trip around the Dolomites on a bicycle or mountain bike

A wide range of cycling paths and bike tours for all ability levels are available here in the Antholz/Anterselva Valley. Discover the fascinating diversity of nature with your children on easy cycling tours along colourful meadows and bubbling streams, through villages and forests while getting exercise in the great outdoors.
The famous, vehicle-free Pusteria Valley asphalt cycling path from Mühlbach/Rio Pusteria to Lienz is very popular.

Get on your mountain bike at the Dolomit Family Resort and conquer South Tyrol’s mountains

A very special and worthwhile challenge on the mountain bike in South Tyrol is the Staller Sattel cycling tour. There is direct access to this route from Niederrasen/Rasun di Sotto. This trail is all about pedalling hard to be rewarded with a grandiose view.
You and your family can hire bicycles for free from the Dolomit Family Resort. There’s even room for your little ones on the bike with our child seats.

Please don’t forget to bring helmets for you and your children!

Amateur level

There are very few steep paths to climb between Niederrasen and Antholz Niedertal, so you can have an easygoing day out with standard bicycles on the signposted cycling paths. Go and discover your passion for cycling on the relatively easy routes.

Intermediate level

The Antholz Valley also has plenty to offer experienced mountain bikers. For example, the route between Antholz Niedertal via the Neurasen castle ruins towards Aschbach is ideal.

Expert level

While the little ones have fun in the childcare facilities in the Garberhof, expert mountain biker parents can immerse themselves in the Antholz Valley’s diverse mountain landscape. The cycling guides from the tourist office will help you to conquer Staller Sattel, the Langegg mountain pasture or Klammljoch mountain pass on your bicycle.
